We are a group of community members and clergy in the Tri-Valley area of Alameda County, California that represent many different faiths and cultures in our area. Through our events and formed connections, we hope to promote an understanding, appreciation, and respect for the wonderful diversity of faith communities and beliefs in our region. We hope that shared insights will enlighten our own beliefs and lives, and will promote peace and understanding within our community.
We always welcome additional faiths, cultures, and individuals to our group. The communities involved in our meetings include:
Catholic Communities of Pleasanton
St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church
St. Clare Episcopal Church
St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church
Islamic Center of Livermore
Muslim Community Center Pleasanton
Congregation Beth Emek, Jewish
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints / Livermore Stake
Holy Cross Lutheran Church
Asbury UnitedMethodist Church
Lynnewood United Methodist Church
First Presbyterian Church Livermore
We hold monthly Religion Chats on the second Wednesday of each month from 5-6 PM, meeting in the various temples, churches, synagogues, and centers of our group. Here we discuss a specific religious topic, typically with two speakers from different faiths and followed by small discussion groups.
We also hold occasional large events such as an Interfaith Thanksgiving service, "Three Weddings and A Reception" mock cultural weddings, intercultural workshops, Interfaith picnics, etc . All events are open to everyone.
Please see the "Announcements" for more information.
